About Us

Scientific Sanitation Solutions (SSS) is a South African based organisation that provides point-of-use water purification solutions to combat water contamination and pollution.

We also offer non-toxic hand and surface disinfectant solutions in both the private and agricultural sectors.

What is Water Purification?

Water purification is a process whereby harmful pollutants, pathogens (disease-causing microorganisms), and inorganic materials are eliminated. This ensures that the water is safe for consumption for humans and animals, as well as use on plants and farms.

Importance of Water Purification.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), contaminated drinking water is estimated to cause 6 million deaths each year. Polluted water can carry multiple potentially lethal diseases including cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio. It is the largest ecological disaster globally, and kills more people than AIDS and malaria combined.

What is hand and surface disinfection?

It is the process of effectively reducing harmful pathogens on any surface with chemical or organic substances, to a level safe for humans or animals. Most sanitizers claim on their labels a 99.9% efficacy. This means that you could still have an extremely high level of contamination on your hands after using these products. With SANI-99™ hand and surface disinfectant, this risk is reduced by 1 000 000 times! SANI-99™ has passed the 6 LOG reduction at 99.99995%, whereas most sanitizers on the shelves are merely 99.9% effective.

Importance of hand and surface disinfection.

It primarily prevents the spread of pathogens from surface to surface, or in some cases surface to air. By using products with substantial efficacy, the spread of pathogenic bacteria and viruses can be prevented or be suppressed. Most sanitizers make claims on their labels which they cannot back with laboratory results. To protect you and your family, it is your right as consumer to demand laboratory proof of these claims made.
