About Us.
Scientific Sanitation Solutions (SSS) is a proudly South African, Black-managed and Black-owned enterprise , purpose-built to advance inclusive industrialisation in the chemicals, sanitation, and water-treatment value chains. SSS’s empowerment-led team, offer scientific innovation with tangible socio-economic dividends, positioning the company as a high-impact government partner for resilient supply, local job creation, and transformation at scale.
Our transformation strategy is operationalised across the business:
- Black ownership & management: Control and strategic decision-making rest with Black executives, ensuring that governance, capital allocation, and market expansion decisions are led by South African beneficiaries of transformation.
- Community inclusion: Supplier pipelines prioritise EMEs/QSEs, township-based enterprises, and women- and youth-owned SMMEs. Our procurement model is designed to on-board, mentor, and scale local manufacturers and service providers in packaging, logistics, and technical services.
- Skills development: We invest in accredited training (e.g., learnerships, artisan pathways, internships) and workplace exposure in partnership with relevant SETAs and TVET colleges, building a durable pipeline of Black process technologists, QC analysts, and plant operators.
- Economic growth & localisation: By onshoring production of disinfectants and environmental chemistries, SSS reduces import leakage, improves supply security for government and industry, and catalyses job creation in priority provinces.
- Public-interest alignment: Our product portfolio (medical, veterinary, environmental hygiene and water solutions) supports the state’s health-security mandate and service-delivery objectives, enabling responsive, ethical procurement and measurable impact in communities.
