At Scientific Sanitation Solutions (SSS), our mission has always been rooted in delivering innovative, sustainable, and accessible hygiene and water solutions to communities in greatest need. Over the past six months, that mission came to life in Samburu, Kenya — a region that ranks among the lowest in the country for access to clean drinking water.
With our partner on the ground, Samantha Shelton, and the invaluable assistance of the Kenyan military, we’ve proudly supported the rollout of our flagship water purification solution, SANI AMANZI™, to one of the many remote villages in Samburu. This project is more than a deployment — it is a step toward transformation.
Why Samburu?
Children in Samburu face a daily risk that is hard to comprehend: drinking water from untreated sources that are visibly unsafe — often brown, stagnant, and filled with disease-causing pathogens. In one school alone, over 45 children were suffering from chronic diarrhoea, dehydration, and stomach infections. There were no nearby clinics. No water infrastructure. No safe alternatives.
The SANI AMANZI™ Impact
SANI AMANZI™ is not just a product — it’s a lifesaving innovation. Each 6g sachet purifies up to 20 litres of contaminated water in under 30 minutes, requiring no electricity, no complex tools, and no technical training. It removes 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa — including E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, and antibiotic-resistant strains. Crucially, it is chlorine-free, leaving behind fresh-tasting water that communities trust and enjoy.
